Gera ready to set foot in Goa
GOMANTAK TIMES - March, 2006

Pune: Gera Developments have announced their first venture into Goa with Gera's Imperium, a 75, 000 sq ft commercial project in Panjim, to be completed over the next 15 months. With two levels and one basement for parking, this project is claimed to be Goa ’s first ‘Intellipex’ and entails a total investment of Rs. 20 crore. It’s shopping cum business complex to be given to business owners for subsequent renting out to end occupants. It will be on the lines of Gera ‘Legend’ with similar features like motion sensor lights, Lux sensors, intelligent fire alarms, safety and monitoring systems and optional systems like biometric access control. The property is located at Patto Plaza and will have a five-year warranty covering areas of preventive maintenance and repairs.

Talking to Herald about Goa’s market potential and Gera ’s plans of extension especially in the hospitality segment, Executive Director of Gera Developments told, “it’s a trial project to check out our hypothesis and will spur greater investments in future. Hospitality starts where real estate ends, as of now we have nothing on cards with regards to that. But I am confident of Goa’s attractiveness not just because of the government’s proactive stance here as visible in the new IT policy and events like the international Film festival but also because this market with a sophisticated cliental will give a higher acceptance level for our kind of products like the ‘Intelligent’ buildings. New projects are underway and we will unveil something in the next five months.”
