This is no child’s play Gera to launch child-centric project
Maharashtra Herald, Pune - April, 2005

Segmentation has been happening in the real estate business for a long time now. First there were shopping malls, then came specialized shopping centers, theme-based housing societies and now a ‘child-centric’ project is definitely a new one. The crown ,for the same, goes to the city-based Gera Developers.

The proposed project is due to come up at Baner, a sprawling 4-acre property that will house two buildings. “The two buildings that will be ready in another 15 months will have 120 apartments. We will put up another building, the third one, later taking the number of flats to 160,” said Rohit Gera director (operations), Gera Developers. Divulging the star attractions of the project, Gera said that it is the small things that make the real difference. “The project will provide houses that are 100 per cent child safe with rounded corners, child safety switches, earth leakage circuit breakers, separate playgrounds for kids, birthday party zones, recreational room with musical instruments and many such things that will relieve the parent from the daily mundane problems about the safety of their young ones.”

Answering the queries on whether the facilities would add on to the cost of maintenance, Gera said, “We will provide all these facilities at no extra cost. The calculated charges come to about Rs. To Rs. 1.25 per sq ft, which is affordable pricing in the age of competitive markets.”
