Gera Developments has launched SkyVillas, a project at Kharadi offering premium 3 and 4 bedroom two-level homes with the ambience and luxury of a villa. The Company recently entered into a joint venture with Citigroup Property Investors for this project encompassing over two million square feet consisting of 600 SkyVillas, a Country Club and a Hotel. Each SkyVilla offers a backyard with white picket fences on every floor, double-height ceilings and entrances through a veranda with sloping roofs. SkyVillas will also offer the conveniences of an apartment like basement parking, elevators, the ability to lock up and leave and not worry about a separate security guard, and the option of floor-rise.

Following the response to Gera’s GreensVille Garden Villas, the company embarked on extensive research to understand the unarticulated needs of customers. SkyVillas are a result of the feedback received from the market in the form of in-depth interviews and focus groups. From the people interviewed, approximately 80% wished they could own a villa if cost permitted and 68% said that they would be happy to live in a villa maintenance was made simpler and less expensive. Other findings from the research included in the SkyVillas offering are the raised plinth entrance, external servant room, one bedroom at the lower level, double height ceilings, backyards with picket fences and sloping entrance verandahs
