Fluffy fabrics and warm colours will give your home a fresh new look and feel. And if it’s a row house in Kharadi at Gera’s World of Joy that you’re looking to revamp, here are some handy home décor tips that will get your home ready for the chilly winters.

Redesigning your home interiors to suit the season requires significant changes in the overall décor and setting within your house. Ideally, you can welcome winters with a décor that’s filled with warm colours and soft fabrics. Such a décor sets up a cosy environment for you to make the most of the winter season. The latest home décor trends suggest it’s time to make the home interiors more warm and rustic this winter.

Here are some winter home décor ideas to help you refurbish your home with warm hues.

  • Furniture with warm colours and cosy fabrics-

If you have warm coloured furniture stored in your house, take it out and pull it together to create a cosy atmosphere. Any trendy silk throws and accessories for your furniture are always welcome as it makes your home even more inviting during winters.

  • Bedding and curtains of warm colours-

Winters vacations are the best time for your family and friends to come together. If you’re gathering at your house, the best way to make them feel comfortable and warm is using cushions and pillows made with soft and warm fabrics. You can use silk, velvet, suede, or satin as the essential fabric preferences for winters. As for the curtains, you can experiment with dark colours like black, grey, and brown to add to the warmth inside.

  • Bring in the warmth with a sunny kitchen-

Make your breakfast and dining area sunny for winter season. Use custom-built tiles and oak cabinets to maintain warmth and cosiness in the kitchen.

  • Add stylish vases and houseplants-

Dress up your entrance with a warm and stylish doormat. In your living room, add a trestle table and place cylindrical vases on it. Add a touch of green with houseplants and brighten up the interiors of your home with a beautiful floral arrangement of fresh and seasonal flowers.

  • Warm fragrances and aromas-

Lastly, use warm fragrances and aromas like vanilla and cinnamon to complement the winter décor in your home. You can even light up scented candles or use oils and fragrant sticks to add to the warmth.

These home décor tips will surely spruce up your place to give it a warm, fuzzy and cosy look and make it a comfortable winter for you and your loved ones.

The best thing I have done to my kids is that I  took a right decision to buy a flat in Gera.
Because of this decision , Vishnu could attend  the development workshops that were conducted.
Vishnu was a shy child who didn't like to participate in any of the programmes.

My son Tattva had been enrolled in the intermediate level and has been coached by the Vishwanathan Anand Chess Academy coach . Tattva has made remarkable strides and will be on his way to get his FIDE rating in November. A lot of credit goes to the mentor for his unique way of handling his students. He has been very patient while working with Tattva on his areas of improvement. In addition before the tournament the coach had voluntarily added additional classes and doubled his efforts to get a better performance out of Tattva. He has shown complete ownership which is commendable. I hope he continues to develop more and more chess players in the coming days.
